AI receptionist for missed calls: what it does and what it costs

By Cecelia · 02 Nov 2026 · Updated 06 Nov 2026

The short answer

An AI receptionist answers the calls you can't, using your script and your hours, books appointments into your calendar, and sends you a transcript and summary of every call. Ours is £499 to set up and £79 a month, with call minutes billed at cost.

What it does

When you're with a customer, on a job or closed, the call still gets answered. The receptionist:

  • Answers with your script, in your voice, during the hours you choose
  • Asks the questions you'd ask, so you know what each caller wanted
  • Books appointments straight into your calendar
  • Sends you a transcript and a summary after every call

What it costs with us

£499 to set up, then £79 a month. Call minutes are billed at cost, so you pay for what's used and nothing is marked up.

When we looked at UK providers in October 2026, monthly fees of £150 to £500 were typical, with setup often starting around £1,500.

Who it suits

Businesses where a missed call is a missed booking: clinics, trades, salons, services that are out on jobs. If most of your calls need a specialist to answer, it works better as a first point of contact that takes details and books a call back.

When it isn't worth it

If you rarely miss calls, or every call needs a detailed conversation, a person is the better answer. We'd rather tell you that than sell you something you won't use.

Getting started

We set it up with your script and hours, test it with you, and you can hear it before it goes live. See the AI receptionist service or all our prices.
